The Arctic Orienteering Club's May 26 meet was a spell-O, a hybrid of Scrabble
and orienteering, in which contestants collected one or two letters at each 
orienteering control. Points were awarded for each letter that the contestant 
was able to use in a word.

Bill Spencer collected and used all the available letters for a perfect 92 points 
in the 70 minute division. Ian Moore was second with 85 points. Chris Wood won 
the 50 minute division with 40 points. Teams were scored separately and a standard 
white level course was also available. Dennis & Elena Drinker came out on top in 
the white race in 15 minutes.

Special note was made of interesting words and phrases, such as "Hejira" by 
Kim & Nelson Isada, and "Put A Jinx On My Zen Beer" by Chris Riggio.
